Immersion Programs Abroad

Amauta Spanish School Offers the unique opportunity to study Spanish while immersed in Peruvian culture.

Spanish Institute of Puebla Specializes in teaching Spanish through an intensive immersion program in Puebla, Mexico.

Spanish Abroad Offers a range of Spanish programs in many countries.


Medical Spanish/Health-related Immersion Programs

Amigos de las Americas Working in collaboration with development agencies and community members, volunteers have leadership roles in carrying out health, education, and environmental programs, ranging from latrine construction to teaching HIV prevention and dental hygiene.

Child Family Health International Offers intensive Spanish language training and clinical service-learning opportunities through programs in Mexico, Bolivia, and Ecuador as well a research program in Nicaragua.

Immersion Spanish Program for Health Professionals Program includes service learning in a Mexican hospital, clinic or medical dispensary.

The Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine Medical Spanish Course Medical Spanish courses are offered in conjunction with the Programa de Medicina en la Comunidad (~ 4 weeks).  The PMC program has 12 clinics in underserved areas of Guadalajara and the greater metropolitan area.   


Medical Spanish Training at Stanford

Spanish for Heritage and Foreign Language Pre-Med and Public Health Students (SPANLANG 19M at Stanford) Prepares students with advanced proficiency in Spanish to work directly with native Spanish-speakers on health-related issues.
